Anonymus
Though he has to remain anonymous, due to heavy persecution of Christians in that country, our leader in Bangladesh has an incredible ministry to the tribal areas, planting churches, evangelizing, conducting children’s programs, giving away clothing and shoes and helping the villages with fresh water. His vision now is to build a Christian boarding school, hopefully with 50% students being orphans.
The big picture is that this entire ministry is focused on reaching the children in the villages, teaching them about Christ, then educating them in vocational and academic skills. The land has already been acquired and the NGO registration filed and approved by the government. The official name of the Boarding School is, “Children of Hope.” The next phase is to build the first building. Included in the project is more than just the school and home, but farm animals will be raised both to earn money for the school and to teach the students animal husbandry. The students will also raise their own crops to earn money, offset the cost of their education and to learn farming and practical skills.
It will cost $80,000 to develop the site for the school, and $60,000 a year for operations. The facility will hold up to 40 children, costing $1,500 per year per child. That includes food, training and housing. Plans also include having a small retail market on the main road to sell their agricultural products and animals.
