Women’s Ministry Recap 2015
by Felipe Hasegawa
I still remember Devi’s clear instructions about our focus for 2015. Last January, we gathered as a staff to cast vision and establish our priorities for the year. The words were clear: “Focus on what reproduces.”
As I look back, I am proud to say God was faithful in providing another year's worth of opportunity to minister to women around the world. More specifically:
- Over 75,000 women in live events and countless more online.
- The launching of Home Life by Devi Titus, featuring an array of home products designed to place statements of virtues and values in the home.
- More small groups birthed using The Home Experience curriculum.
and so much more...
As a Brazilian Christian, I have never heard of another minister as committed to the message of the home like Devi. After four years of plowing the land of Brazil with that message, we are witnessing a true revolution taking place on the role of the home in believer's lives.
The churches and people God has allowed us to minister to have such an incredible desire to connect & grow their women in deeper ways. Here is a snapshot of a few of those...
In 2013, Vivian bought The Home Experience book immediately when it launched. She studied it for herself and fell in love with the material. The Lord spoke to her heart about sharing the principles taught through the book. She was so inspired and motivated she launched citywide women’s meetings called The Home Experience. She ran the meetings all throughout 2014 while her husband did The Teleios Man meetings simultaneously.
In 2015, the Lord opened doors for Vivian to expand her reach and go to other cities in her state to conduct The Home Experience meetings. Other women contacted her for guidance for their own women’s ministry initiatives. My aunt Dr. Silvia Negrao, lives 120 miles from Vivian, also launched a Home Experience meeting in her city.
Recently, Vivian contacted us, saying she will be teaching The Home Experience principles on a TV show she is starting to produce. Wow! Talk about reproducing!
We are seeing this pattern happen in several other parts of the country too. Another incredible story is of Rachel Malafaia. Rachel and I attended Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas together. She and her husband moved to Brazil in 2008, and began leading a local church in Rio de Janeiro a couple of years later.
Devi and Rachel met in 2012, and formed a very special relationship. Devi poured into Rachel every bit of wisdom she could. Rachel was deeply impacted and began her own women’s ministry at her church using The Home Experience. Devi went there in March of 2015 to launch the program, and now Rachel is ministering these principles to all the women at her church.
This woman is tremendously gifted! She and her husband lead a church in the city of Palmas, the north region of Brazil. Devi has adopted Késia as a daughter in the Lord and mentored her the last two years. Késia has held seven sessions, with 700 women attending, teaching through the principles in The Home Experience throughout 2015.
