To our wonderful friends and family, on Wednesday, December 28th, Devorah Nell Walker Titus went to be with Jesus.

Devi’s impact, life, and legacy are immeasurable around the world and in each of our hearts. In the most fabulous Devi fashion, she had her makeup done perfectly and was in the peaceful sanctuary of their new home with Larry by her side. The family enjoyed the most precious holiday season together with the joy of the Holy Spirit as they each cherished every moment together.

Obituary

Devorah Nell Titus, beloved wife of Larry Titus for over 58 years and founder of The Home Experience, passed away December 28th, 2022, of endometrial cancer. She was 75 years old. “Devi” was with her husband, mother and daughter when she died peacefully at home.

It has been said about her, “You don’t just meet Devi...you experience her!”

Devi was an EXTRAORDINARY woman of excellence. To experience her was to love her.

Born Devorah Nell Walker to Moffitt and Oleta Walker on February 12, 1947, in Salinas California, she lived her life in full expression of the Proverbs 31 woman. The second of two children, Devi was raised in a Christian home where she was taught the Word of God from her parents and grandparents. The importance of living a life of integrity, impeccable character, strong work ethic, practical faith and selfless devotion to others was modeled for her. At a young age, Devi accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. At the age of 13 she fell in love and dreamed of being the wife of a young minister named Larry Titus. She married him 4 years later. She devoted herself faithfully and wholeheartedly to serving Jesus at home, as a pastor’s wife and as a missionary.

Devi Titus was a renowned global conference speaker and author. Her life passion was to restore the dignity and sanctity of the home, in the way men and women think about the home in relationship to the human heart, using principles from the book of Titus, chapter 2. Devi founded The Mentoring Mansion and through this program has hosted more than 1,200 women in the Titus home for four days. These mentoring intensives launched thousands of Home Experience Groups that are meeting in multiple nations with the purpose to restore love and peace in the home. Her most profound message was “The Table Principle” and its importance in creating deeper, more meaningful relationships. Devi’s most well-known quote is “Home is where the heart is formed.”

Devi authored multiple books that spread her message and are now published in 3 languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. She spoke to tens of thousands of people, changing hearts and impacting families around the world. Devi was particularly passionate for the nation of Brazil.

Devi founded the award-winning VIRTUE magazine in 1978. Devi served on numerous boards and was the former CEO of Kingdom Global Ministries (KGM), a nonprofit organization designed to connect and grow people into their life mission. KGM now serves 40 nations.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Titus, her mother, Oleta Walker, her brother, Noel Walker, two children, Trina Titus Lozano and Aaron Titus, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Devi was a courageous trailblazer. Glamorous, sophisticated, and creative, she loved life and lived it to the fullest until the very end. Her final advice to her family 4 days before her homegoing was “make every day special.” And that she did!
